Challenge
The brief for this project was to create an app that engages a specific target audience. I chose to design a mobile app that encourages families to grow food in their garden. The challenge I found for this project was to design my app to teach and guide new users that haven't grown anything before.
Outcome
Grow was a product of a lot of design iterations and development. The app had a heavy focus on encouragement with a token system, facebook integration and a walkthrough. It also used hardware features on a phone to help complete tasks such as using the camera to detect when a plant is ready to harvest.
